I do, and we had our CD release show last month. Just Rock/Progressive/Alt kind of music I guess.

I mainly use Paiste cymbals, though I have a couple Sabian cymbals right now, and I use Remo drum heads.

And that is indeed the cymbal setup, aside from the hi-hats and the china cymbal.

Paiste? hmm..never heard of that brand.

I like the sounds of Sabian...but I think i like Zildjian a bit more. Even though they used to be same company...haha.

Yeah, Zildjian's are definitely nice cymbals, I like them, I guess I've just found my sound in Paiste. Some of the bigger drummers who have used Paiste are John Bonham from Led Zeppelin and Danny Carey from Tool.

I've been drumming for around 7 years I guess. I'd like to think I'm alright, for being self taught anyways, but I'd definitely like to go take some lessons and really tighten up my playing.

ooh. self-taught. i find it hard to teach myself certain instruments. most non-wind instruments have an awkward feel for me. like, i used to drum, but...not really, and not on a drum set. but, you know, it's all a part of learning more and learning to feel the groove and what not.

you should put up a recording or something.

I'll have to record a short little drum solo and throw it up here, or maybe put up some of my bands music and see what you guys think.

you havent heard of paiste?.... its kind of one of the bigger names in rock cymbals. Sabians are cheap in general (no offense), but paiste makes some pretty sick cymbals. Id say around half of all famous rock/alt/indie drummers use paiste cymbals. The sound is raw but clean, sabians tend to sound more like garbage can lids, though there are exceptions.

Yeah. I use to have three Sabian AAX crashes, and I really didn't like them at all. The Paiste 2002's and Signatures are where it's at though.

haha...i'm not into rock drumsets...i am more into jazz drumsets...

oh, keep in mind, I'm not a drummer. So I still know more than the average non-drummer!

Maybe for Jazz, but I've never liked Zildjian cymbals, at least for what I play.
