I think we should add some cpl maps (strike fire mill etc) to the map list cause it does get kind of boring going d2,inferno,nuke,d2,inferno,nuke....all day long. maybe some fun maps too so we can put em into the vote for maps just in case the server wants to play some and goof around or what not. let me know what you guys think

haha...we've been trying for quite awhile to get new maps...but i second this...again...

its not hard just upload new maps to the server i can do it in liek 30 min

I have had these maps on but every time we changed to them, everyone left. I can put them on, but not add them to rotation, that way an admin has to put a vote to change it to that map.

that'd be great. a lot of people always crave different maps. usually mill or something...and rats

yea that is what i meant put it on maplist not in rotation....im just tired of the map vote i put up being inferno d2 and nuke....i try aztec and office but every time 3 rounds of playing and everyone wants the map changed haha. but yeah definitely have em on the server...you can never have too many maps

Well in the user control panel is a link to your ftp site for the server. In the ftp site you'll find the "cstrike", open that. Then you'll see the "maps" folder, open that. That's where the map file goes. Same goes for materials, sounds, and the others. When you download a map you put the file in the same folder path that the download shows. All you have to do is drag and drop or copy and paste. You may need a FTP program, like SmartFTP, which allows for easier ftp support.

Downloaded file you want to upload path:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\cstrike\maps\de_dus t2

Place the file in this path on your HOME server:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\LOGIN\source dedicated server\cstrike\maps\...

Place the file in this path on your company hosted server:
FTP site\cstrike\maps\...

i tihnk that is how you do it.

Q: How do I add/upload maps?
A: You will need to follow these instructions or use your own ftp program.
1)Log into CS Admin
2)Click on "Game Servers"
3)Click on "File Manager"
4)Click on "cstrike"
5)Click on "maps"
6)Upload your .bsp map files here. If the map requires additional files to play, make sure you upload them to the correct directory or the map will not work and will crash your server if you change it to that map.
7)You will need to add the maps to your map cycle and restart your server before the will appear in your map rotation.
If this process does not work for some reason, then you'll need to use ftp to put maps on your server. It's easier and more efficient to use ftp anyways.

new maps would be good. d2 and inferno are alright but they get kinda boring after awhile. mix it up some =]
